Notes: I’ve never been to one of these. Anyone else know what they’re like?
If the Sunday panel with DiDio is anything like the one I attended last year at Fan Expo, he basically just chews the fat with the crowd about what they like and don’t like in comics. He asked people how long they’ve been reading, what their first comic was, what the weirdest comics story they’ve ever read is, shares a few comic-reading anecdotes of his own, that sort of thing. It’s pleasant but unlikely to have any news.
That actually sounds interesting, and really low-key for Comic-Con. If I were still reading a lot of DCU books it might be worth going.
I went to the Sunday conversation panel at NYCC. Among other things, there were a whole a bunch of stories that people told about this one particular artist. That’s just the direction the conversation went.
I know a couple of guys from Marvel make it a habit to go to this panel and that adds to it.
I agree with Lia. It’s pleasant but there won’t be any news. I don’t think you need to be reading a lot of DC titles to get something out of the panel.
