“Abra Kadabra” Synopsis, And More

The CW has released the official still images for next week’s episode of The Flash, titled “Into the Speed Force”. You can see one picture at left, and the rest are available at Flash TV News. It’s interesting that Barry’s lost his chest emblem.

And here’s the official synopsis for the March 28th episode, titled “Abra Kadabra”. There are no prizes for guessing which villain we’ll be seeing.

“Abra Kadabra”:
DC COMICS’ CHARACTER ABRA KADABRA VISITS CENTRAL CITY – The Flash (Grant Gustin) battles Abra Kadabra (guest star David Dastmalchian), a villain from Earth-19, who makes him a tempting offer – release him and Abra Kadabra will reveal Savitar’s true identity. Desperate to save Iris (Candice Patton), Barry considers taking the deal but Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) breaches in to capture the villain for her own reasons and during the melee, Abra Kadabra manages to escape. Barry is furious that Gypsy interfered but Gypsy refuses to back down, forcing Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to take sides. Meanwhile, Julian (Tom Felton) is still a bit cold towards Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) but when she is severely injured in a battle with Gypsy, he rushes to her side. Nina Lopez-Corrado directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Brooke Roberts & David Kob (#318). Original airdate 3/28/2017.

“Sins of the Father” Review of THE FLASH #18

“Sins of the Father” starts here, in THE FLASH #18 – and we may have the makings of a classic. This issue makes the most of the page count for DC books of late, with the feel of a complete story even though this is just the first chapter of a larger tale. Wally is dealing with the revelation that Daniel West, aka the Reverse Flash is not his uncle but rather his father…and that’s just the jumping off point for a great arc. Want to know more? Follow us after the jump!

We get the true answer right here, right now, in TITANS #9…and if you want to know more just follow us after the jump!

“The Wrath of Savitar” Review of S3 Ep 15 of THE FLASH

After last week’s feel good episode…well, you knew it couldn’t last for long, didn’t you? “Fear makes us do a lot of things we shouldn’t” – that turns out to be true in so many ways, for so many of the cast of THE FLASH. Season 3 Episode 15 of our favorite speedster’s show gives us some critical twists – but we can’t say anything more until after the jump. Join us there, will you?

Abra Kadabra Cast In The Show, And More

As reported by the official DC blog, actor David Dastmalchian has been cast to play Abra Kadabra on The Flash TV series. He’ll apparently be appearing before the season’s over, which is interesting (I’ve long had a theory that H.R. Wells is Kadabra in disguise, but we’ll see). He’s described as “a criminal from a distant future whose advanced technological powers seem like magic, the time-traveling Abra Kadabra holds a secret the Flash will stop at nothing to uncover”. So it sounds like he may be fairly faithful to the comics.

Dastmalchian has appeared in other DC media before; he’s appeared on Gotham and had a small role in The Dark Knight.

We also know that Mirror Master and the Top will return in a few episodes, as of episode 19. That episode is currently filming right now, and is being directed by long-time cast member Tom Cavanagh.

And the CW has released the first teaser for the upcoming Flash-Supergirl crossover, titled “Duet”. It will air March 21st.
