“Superhero Fight Club” Promo

The CW has released a fun new video to promote the final episodes of The Flash and Arrow. It’s not spoilery for any future episodes, but as the name “Superhero Fight Club” suggests, it is kind of violent.

What do you think? And are you ready for the final six Flash episodes? They begin again tomorrow!

LEGO Movie Producers Working on Flash Movie

Variety reports that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, producers of the LEGO Movie, are developing the story for the Flash movie. As previously announced, the March 2018 film is set in DC’s movie universe rather than their TV universe, and will star Ezra Miller. As ComicsAlliance points out, this suggests that Warner Bros. is looking for a lighter tone for the speedster than they’ve taken with Superman in Man of Steel, which IMO is a good move.

I’ve lost count of the number of creative teams that have been attached to a Flash movie since Warner Bros. first started planning one with David Goyer way back in 2004. But for the first time there’s enough momentum that I see a good chance of this happening (as long as the DC movie universe doesn’t crash and burn first, which is still a possibility).

WonderCon 2015 Round-Up

Big Hero 6As of last weekend, I’ve been to more WonderCons in Anaheim than San Francisco, and more with a kid in tow than without. And I’m finally at the point where I’m no longer comparing the current incarnation of the con to the previous one, and just taking it on its own terms.

Here at Speed Force, we covered Flash cosplay and the Flash TV show cast Q&A earlier in the week. My full photo gallery is on Flickr. It took a whole week, but I finally put together my write-up of the con over at K-Squared Ramblings.

Enjoy!
