“Revenge of the Rogues” – Review of Episode 110 of THE FLASH

This episode gives us the return of Captain Cold and the first Rogues mini-team-up of the series, as Heat Wave joins Len (in an interesting twist, these two are played by the same actors who played the brothers in “Prison Break”). Captain Cold wants to draw out and eliminate the Flash, knowing that Flash remains the one force who can stop his criminal plans. Meanwhile, Barry continues his training in an effort to get “up to speed” to challenge the Reverse Flash, and Iris prepares to move in with Eddie. All this, and more, in Episode 110 of THE FLASH!

FLASH-ARROW Crossover Event (Review)

We find Oliver Queen (and his team) in Central City to fight Roy Bivolo (a name that should be familiar) and Barry Allen (and Cisco and Caitlin) in Starling City to track down Digger Harkness (another VERY familiar name). There are some interesting developments for all the characters, even though there are a couple of nagging things that we’ll get to…but overall it was a great two-night event. WARNING: There will be a few spoilers…not a lot…but still…

“Castaways” – and a sad passing…Review of THE FLASH #36

Flash36This issue of THE FLASH finds Barry trapped in the Speed Force, future Wally out of the picture (though present Wally does have his moments), and Future Barry taking over in present day Central City. If you thought the big battle between present and future Barry would end this arc, you were very wrong – it’s just the beginning. This issue also represents the last artwork in comics from an excellent illustrator, Andre’ Coelho, who died far too young at age 35.  Coelho took on the “future Barry” pages while Brett Booth handled present Barry’s tale in the Speed Force, in a generally excellent issue of THE FLASH.
