Director Rick Famuyiwa Exits The Flash Movie

THR reports that director Rick Famuyiwa has left the Flash movie over creative differences. Famuyiwa joined the production in June, replacing previous director Seth Grahame-Smith.

The Flash solo film stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen and Kiersey Clemons as “the female lead” (widely expected to be Iris West), and is set in the DC cinematic universe established by Batman v. Superman. It’s still on the schedule for March 2018, but losing its director again at this stage may set that back.

I’ve actually lost count of how many directors have been attached to this movie over the years.

Do you think The Flash will be able to stay on schedule, or will Barry Allen’s solo movie be late?

And who would you like to step in as director?

“Shade” Trailer

The CW has released the extended trailer for November 15th’s episode of The Flash, titled “Shade”. There will be no episode next week because of the presidential election.

You can also see the official still images from the episode at Heroic Hollywood, with some really good looks at Dr Alchemy and his cult.

Wally’s going to meet Dr Alchemy and may find his destiny. Here’s hoping it works out for him! What do viewers hope to see? Do you want him to work alongside Barry as Kid Flash, or find another path?

“Monster” – Review of THE FLASH S3 Ep5

Sometimes things are not what they appear to be. That can be a good thing…or a bad thing, depending on what you learn about in the end. We get a little bit of both outcomes here. First, you learn that the big bad of the week may not be so bad. Then, you may find that someone you normally count on to help is…not so great. There are some truly unique moments in this episode, with some developments that promise to have a significant impact on the rest of the season. Want to know more? Follow us after the jump!

Flashiness of LA Comic Con 2016

I missed the Flash TV cast panel at this weekend’s Los Angeles Comic Con (formerly Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo) due to a combination of LA traffic, road closures, full parking lots, and a ridiculously long line. I picked up my badge at 1:45pm. You can read the whole saga at K²Ramblings, or head over to my photo gallery on Flickr.

Judging by Instagram there were plenty of Flash-themed cosplayers, but I only spotted a few, and only caught two on camera. Wally West as the TV Flashpoint Flash…

“Shade”— (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

WALLY HAS VISIONS OF BEING KID FLASH — When Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) starts having dreams about being Kid Flash, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he has to tell Wally, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about what happened to Wally in Flashpoint in order to keep him safe. JJ Makaro directed the episode written by Emily Silver & David Kob (#306). Original airdate 11/15/2016.

This may be leading up to Wally meeting Dr Alchemy to get his powers restored, and who knows how that’s going to end.
