Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion #6

DC Comics has a preview of Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion #6, the conclusion of the miniseries.

The Rogues battle Gorilla Grodd, Parasite and a slew of the Crime Syndicate’s co-opted thugs in the ruins of the Gem Cities. The outcome doesn’t look good for the Rogues, but these blue-collar opportunists never back away from a fight! Look for FOREVER EVIL: ROGUES REBELLION #6, written by Brian Buccellato and illustrated by Scott Hepburn, this Wednesday.

The issue arrives in stores on Wednesday, along with Flash #29. A preview of Flash was released last Friday.

Flash #29

Hero Complex has a preview of Flash #29 by Brian Buccellato, with Agustin Padilla taking over for Patrick Zircher, due in stores next week. In the conclusion of this three-part murder mystery, Flash and Deadman team up to find the supernatural Keystone Killer before he strikes again. It’s a mystery that may — or may not — answer the question of who really killed Barry Allen’s mother in the post-Flashpoint timeline.

This story and Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion (also finishing next week) have been kind of a bonus round for the Francis Manapul/Brian Buccellato run on the character, as Manapul left after #25 to gear up for the duo to take over Detective Comics

Oh yeah, and there’s that Robot Chicken variant cover. They went with the Flashdance reference. Continue reading

Flash #28 Preview is Up!

The Flash #28 arrives in stores this Wednesday, and DC Comics has a preview of the issue up on their site.

The Flash and Deadman team up to stop the Keystone Killer! How far back do the killings go, and is his target the key? What or who are the “Fletchers”? Find out in THE FLASH #28, written by Brian Buccellato and illustrated by Patrick Zircher, available in stores this Wednesday.

I think it’s clear who the original Fletcher was, but the question seems to be who the killer thinks are Fletchers.

Flash #27 Cover

The summary has the Flash facing “a mystical serial killer who might be responsible for his mother’s murder,” but the preview focuses on a jewelry heist by Chroma (an updated Rainbow Raider) and Tar Pit.

(For those wondering about the presence of one of the villains, remember that everything up through #29 takes place before Forever Evil.)

Also included in the preview is the Scribblenauts variant cover, a riff on the classic Showcase #4 — the first appearance of Barry Allen.
