DC has released Francis Portela’s variant cover for Flash #12, which they remind us is the final issue of the (current) series before it jumps into Flashpoint.
Flash #10 comes out tomorrow, with #11 scheduled for April 27 and #12 due May 11…the same day that Flashpoint launches.

The closer we get to Flashpoint, the more overwhelming it gets trying to cover it. You’ve probably noticed that I’ve been sticking with the directly Flash-related and Rogues-related announcements lately. Partly it’s keeping the site focused, but a lot of it is just time.
Ivan Reis’ variant cover for Brightest Day #23 focuses on everyone’s* favorite resurrected boomerang-throwing Rogue. DC has a 4-page preview of the issue, which hits stores today.
One one issue left after this one. The end is near!
*Some might prefer other boomerang-throwing Rogues who have not been resurrected at this time.
DC released the cover to Flashpoint #3 today at The Source. It looks like they’ve found Kal-El…
Most Flash readers, if they know about Cobalt Blue at all, know him as a new character introduced in the second half of the Mark Waid/Brian Augustyn run on The Flash in 1999. They might know that his link to Barry Allen was hinted at in The Life Story of the Flash and the first Flash Secret Files (both 1997), or that two Cobalt Blues appeared in the 1997 Speed Force special.
But Cobalt Blue’s origins can be traced all the way back to 1980!
