Wally is back! Those of you who read the FLASH ANNUAL 2021 (and you really should have) know that the redemption story for Wally West is complete. He has been restored to the DCU and to his family, in the familiar scarlet uniform with the white eye-holes. FINALLY, Wally gets to live as close to a normal life as any super-hero gets. As we come to the end of Kevin Shinick’s first arc with THE FLASH, a few things are becoming clearer about his take on Barry Allen and his super-speed alter ego. Flash has been up against a near-omnipotent version of Dr. Alchemy, and things are looking very bad as this chapter begins. We know the good guy will win the day, but how that happens is important for the storytelling we may expect as we move forward. The battle with Paradox has just begun. Godspeed is helping this new big bad, and things are looking tough for Barry. But, if you think things are bad for him now, just wait till you read THE FLASH #751. The ending left this reviewer saying, “well, I didn’t expect that“.
