The Reverse-Flash Family! Review of THE FLASH #756

We’ve just finished “Flash Age”, when the Reverse-Flash actually teams up (temporarily) with our favorite Scarlet Speedster to defeat Paradox. Of course, as soon as that battle was over, Eobard Thawne showed his true colors in killing [REDACTED].  Now, Thawne believes he’s finally figured out why Barry Allen has always gotten the best of him. Flash Annual #3 Preview

DC has posted five preview pages for next week’s Flash annual, and you can see them at Adventures In Poor Taste. Captain Boomerang makes a rare Flash appearance in the preview; in the most recent issue of Suicide Squad, he was forced into a quick alliance with the Squad when a particular malefactor (it’s a spoiler) tried to have the team execute him. They’re now on the run.

That month will see the finale of Joshua Williamson’s run on The Flash book, as well as a Death Metal tie-in called Dark Nights: Death Metal Speed Metal written by Williamson. The tie-in will feature several members of the Flash Family in action together, including Wally West and Jay Garrick.

The Flash Age Finale! Review of THE FLASH #755

Issue #755 of THE FLASH does what few comics have accomplished at the end of an arc. This issue ends a significant arc on a high note – no disappointments, no loss of energy at the end of the arc. As a bonus, we get the resolution to a mystery that has dogged one character since the beginning of Joshua Williamson’s time on THE FLASH. And, we get an effective launch to the arc that comes next.
