Eclipso is getting closer to gaining the ultimate in power, but there is one thing he can’t control. Make that one person he can’t control. That person is Wally West! Problem is, Eclipso is able to control everyone else, including all the members of Justice League Dark. So what’s a good speedster to do? And while that’s going on, what is happening with Irey and her new friend? Looks like they may be headed for trouble. Wanna know more? Follow us after the jump!
There are plenty of guests early on in this issue of THE FLASH, but the main action comes with a very familiar Rogue. Barry has yet to go on his Force Quest, but he may be reconsidering that thought soon – as he ends up face to face with Mick Rory in a way he never imagined! Want to know more? Follow us after the jump!
Time to catch up on Trinity War! There are a few things becoming clear in this story arc that spans all the Justice League titles – most especially that there will be long-standing effects on the entire DC Universe from this series. This tale is picking up speed as it goes along, and it is actually improving in quality as it picks up the pace. Let’s start with JLA #7, and then we’ll take a quick jump to JL Dark #23 (Note how the covers are matching up, just as the first three installments made one picture…wonder what the last part of THIS picture will be):
This is my favorite issue of the Trinity War arc so far – heroes are choosing sides left and right, plans of action are being made and changed all over the place, and the machinations of the big bad behind all this are just beginning to be revealed. It is an exciting issue full of action and intrigue, and the potential scope of it’s impact on the DC Universe is just beginning to be seen.
This issue concludes a three-issue visit from The Flash and Swamp Thing to Justice League Dark, one of the more eerie and entertaining titles in the New 52. Doctor Destiny has hijacked the House of Mystery, and using the captured Swamp Thing has the whole place completely under his control! Can even the combined might of the Fastest Man Alive and Justice League Dark stop this menace?
In the last issue of Justice League Dark, the House of Mystery had been hijacked and Swamp Thing had been captured, allowing Doctor Destiny to send nightmare visions into the world. The Flash had been brought into this battle, as there is something about his powers that makes him uniquely qualified to help. Now, the battle heats up in Justice League Dark #20, the second of a three issue arc guest starring The Fastest Man Alive!
