Flashpoint #2 Solicitation & Cover (also: Booster Gold)

DC has posted solicitation info for June’s main Flashpoint book and the corresponding issue of Booster Gold. No word yet on a schedule for all the miniseries and one-shots announced today.

The world-changing miniseries continues! Where are the World’s Greatest Super Heroes? Barry Allen is on a mission to find out or die trying – and that may be what’s happening as he tries to make lightning strike twice! Meanwhile, around the submerged Paris, the pirate Deathstroke confronts Emperor Aquaman!

On sale JUNE 1 • 2 of 5, 40 pg, FC, $3.99 US • RATED T

I really hate it when Batman straps me into an electric chair and turns it on. I always know the day’s completely shot when that happens.

Booster Gold #45

Art and cover by DAN JURGENS and NORM RAPMUND

Booster knows that the Flashpoint world isn’t his own. But how does he get back? How does he make things right?

On sale JUNE 8 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US • RATED T

Hmm, that looks like a slightly Flashy Captain Marvel (S.H.A.Z.A.M.?), Cyborg, Batman, Green Lantern Abin Sur, the Sandman, and Captain — I mean Citizen Cold.

Flashpoint: Grodd of War

FLASHPOINT: GRODD OF WAR #1
Cover: Francis Manapul
Writer: Sean Ryan
Art: Ig Guara

“Africa belongs to him!”

Well, Grodd’s always wanted to take over the world. It sounds like in the Flashpoint timeline he’s been a bit more successful at it.

One of the one-shots announced at The Source.

Update (June 15): A lot of people are landing here today, since the book just came out. Here’s a more recent article including a link to a preview of the issue.

More Flashpoint Creative Teams Announced (Updated!)

DC is announcing the remaining Flashpoint creative teams today at The Source. They describe it as the eight remaining miniseries and four one-shots, so it sounds like they expanded the line from 15 to 16 miniseries, and the two new series announced last week don’t replace anything previously announced.

Just like last week, I’ll put the Flash-related titles at the top, and update this post throughout the day. Click on the covers to jump to the original posts at the Source.

Flash-Related Titles

Flashpoint: Kid Flash Lost Starring Bart Allen

Covers: Francis Manapul
Writer: Sterling Gates
Art: Oliver Nome

“Where is he? Or should we say when?”

Perfect: We’re finally getting a Kid Flash/Bart Allen story by Sterling Gates! I kind of hope the full title is just “Flashpoint: Kid Flash Lost,” though, because the “starring…” part gets kind of unwieldy. (Not that it comes close to “Countdown Presents: The Search for Ray Palmer: Yet Another Subtitle.”)

Flashpoint: Grodd of War (one-shot)

Cover: Francis Manapul
Writer: Sean Ryan
Art: Ig Guara

“Africa belongs to him!”

Flashpoint: Reverse Flash (one-shot)

Cover: Ardian Syaf and Vicente Cifuentes
Writer: Scott Kolins
Art: Joel Gomez

“He’s more powerful than ever!”

Kolins really has cemented himself as the go-to guy for Flash villains, hasn’t he?

Flashpoint: Kid Flash Lost

Straight from The Source:

FLASHPOINT: KID FLASH LOST STARRING BART ALLEN #1
Covers: Francis Manapul
Writer: Sterling Gates
Art: Oliver Nome

“Where is he? Or should we say when?”

Finally! Sterling Gates was attached as the writer for the Kid Flash series that Geoff Johns announced way back in Comic-Con 2009, the one that ended up being scrapped before launch. And Francis Manapul is of course the perfect choice for the covers. I’m not familiar with Oliver Nome, I found his DeviantArt page, including a drawing of Kid Flash.
