Young Justice Cancelled?!?!

Young_Justice_Invasion

Hey Speed Readers,

So yesterday afternoon Cartoon Network released their 2013-2014 Fall schedule with two very noticeable omissions: Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice, currently the only place where Flash Family fans can get even a semblance of satisfaction. The series appear to have been replaced by a revived version of the old Teen Titans cartoon entitled Teen Titans Go! (after the comic adaptation) and the latest Batman animated venture, Beware The Batman.

Hey Speed Readers,

Some exciting news coming down the pipeline from Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment this yesterday afternoon concerning DC Comics latest video game venture, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Young Justice Returns Tomorrow 9/29 Plus Young Justice Video Game News and Screens

Hey Speed Readers,

Just a quick reminder (that I wanted to get up a lot earlier) Young Justice, featuring Kid Flash (Wally West) and Impulse (Bart Allen) as cast members will be returning from it’s mid-season hiatus tomorrow morning. The show has been on hiatus since June so many fans (like the team here at Speed Force) have been anxiously awaiting it’s return. Especially since this seems to be the only place that Wally West (and the Flash family) is getting any kind of love these days.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Release Date and Collector’s Edition

Hey Speed Readers,

So I’ve been following DC Comic’s latest foray into fighting games, Injustice: Gods Among Us extremely closely. Albeit flawed I enjoyed Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe a decent amount and always hoped for a sequel (preferably without any Mortal Kombat characters). Thankfully I got both of my wishes and Netherrealm Studios (a reshuffled Midway) will be bringing this game to us in April of 2013 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and the Wii U (Just in time for my birthday *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*).

90s Flash(back): Dick Miller Documentary. Yeah, That Guy.

Jason writes in with word of a documentary about character actor Dick Miller. Who’s Dick Miller, you ask? This guy:

That Guy Dick Miller

Or rather, “That guy” as in the title of the film, or “Hey, it’s that guy!” which was probably your reaction on seeing that photo. Miller has an impressive 175 acting credits on IMDB in a career spanning 1955-2009. You may recognize him from such movies as Terminator and Gremlins, or TV series like Fame and The Flash.

What’s that? The Flash, you say?

Miller had a recurring role on the 1990 Flash TV series as Fosnight, a small-time con man who acted as an informant for Barry Allen. And his signed copy of the shooting script for “Deadly Nightshade” is one of the incentive rewards for backers on the Kickstarter funding project.

Funding is at $18K of $40K, with 12 days to go.
