DC Collectibles Reveals New 52 Kid Flash Action Figure

Hey Speed Readers,

Earlier this morning, DC Collectibles revealed what they had been teasing for the last week or so on their Facebook page; a trio of Teen Titans based on the New 52 designs. Superboy, Wonder Girl and Kid Flash along with many other heroes were reimagined for the New 52 2 years ago and we are just now getting figures of these designs courtesy of DC Collectibles who has seemingly kicked it into high gear when it comes to releases:

In addition to Bart Allen, Brett Booth has also been drawing Wally West a lot lately (for fun, not for any official comics), and spoke with Speed Force last week. Update: And now he’s posted a Max Mercury sketch.

Manapul has a double connection to this book: Before taking over as the regular artist on The Flash, he also teamed with Geoff Johns for a short run on Adventure Comics starring Superboy.

SDCC Catch-Up

One of the downsides to attending a convention is that you miss all the announcements at panels you didn’t attend — like an Astro City movie deal! *ahem* Anyway, on to speedster news.

At DC Universe Event Horizon, James Robinson stated that the Justice League would be battling the Crime Syndicate at some point, with Jesse Quick battling Johnny Quick , Batman vs. Owlman, Supergirl vs. Ultraman etc.

At DC Focus: Teams, incoming Teen Titans writer J.T. Krul said that Bart Allen “is past the Impulse stage but he still has that innocent, light-heartedness about him.” (Quote from Newsarama, may be paraphrasing him.)

At the Superman panel they announced that Superboy #3 will feature the first-ever Superboy/Kid Flash race.
